Family Now that Christmas card season has arrived, it may be somewhat hectic. The kids’ strange fake smiles and wardrobe coordination are two things I’m constantly concerned about. For this reason, choosing a lifestyle photographer is essential. We hired Katie Hill from Katie Hill Photography to capture our photos this year. The children adored her, and she was a pleasure to work with.

Clothing
I’ve really enjoyed combining neutrals with various textures over the last few years. I continue to use white, cream, gray, light brown, and navy as my color palette. Using materials like lace, cotton, chunky knits, corduroy, and waffle-textured tops, I attempt to impart texture.
I typically wear dresses since they are easy to coordinate with and just require one article of clothing. Prior to coordinating with the rest of the family, I also choose my attire. The key is layering. If your spouse is wearing a simple henley top, dress it up with a suit jacket or a button-up checkered shirt. Usually, I dress my daughter in a dress, cardigan, and tights. Another fantastic option is a skirt and top.

In a few weeks, I can’t wait to present you all our family’s Christmas card. This year, I want to be more proactive and have cards out by the first week of December!
Remember to check back frequently as the Holiday Gift Guides will begin next week!
