Cheers to Friday! Since winter has arrived, I wanted to share my top picks for winter cosmetic needs with you all. I refer to these things as “If I were stranded on an island” products because I use them frequently. The products help combat the flakiness of my winter skin and keep it looking dewy and radiant, so I keep refilling them when they run out.
Since I frequently alter this item, I excluded blush from the calculation! Every season, I usually wear a new shade of blush.

Foundation
A moisturizing foundation is my top winter cosmetic must. My skin looks dewy thanks to the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation, which I’ve been using for a year. If I’m in a hurry, I also adore iT Cosmetics CC+ Cream for a little extra coverage.
Primer
This primer can assist maintain the smoothness of your concealer and foundation if you are experiencing the winter “flake.” I enjoy giving my cheeks, lower eye area, nose, and chin a little rub. It keeps your makeup from slipping off and helps keep everything in place. This is also essential during the summer!
Concealer
I have nothing but praise for this concealer. For good reason, it is a huge cult favorite. When applied in an upward triangle form, it truly gives your face a lifted appearance while covering and brightening the darkest circles. I also use this to cover up redness on blemishes or around my nose. In the winter, I dress in light neutral.
Foundation Brush
For your skin, this brush is a veritable piece of heaven. For a perfect finish, I use it to mix in my foundation. When applied, the bristles’ unique anti-aging peptides and antioxidants will make your skin look better. I use this each and every time I put on makeup. It’s simple and quick.
Eye Shadow Palette
It appears that everyone’s favorite palette is this one. It includes a few darker shades that will carry you into the evening as well as all the ideal hues for a daily neutral appearance. I often apply Tease or Snakebite to the outer corner or crease of my lid then Bootycall or Foxy all over it. Then, for a little dimension and shimmer, I use YDK or Chopper in the center. When I want a smokey eye, I prefer to use Busted to line my bottom lash line.
Mascara
My favorite mascara and primer combination for the thickest, longest-looking lashes is this one. I start by applying one or two coats of primer and giving it a few seconds to dry. I then put on two or three coats of mascara. Using cosmetics that maintain the lash’s softness is my key to maintaining long lashes. Your lashes have a tendency to break off when the product makes them stiff. Avoid using waterproof mascara since it can be very harsh on your lashes.
Eye Liner
I lightly coat my upper eyelid with this liquid black liner before applying mascara. Next, use the pencil liner to draw my waterline. These pencil liners have served me well over the years. Although they come in a wide variety of hues, my top three picks are Perversion (black), Whiskey (brown), and Rockstar (dark plum).
Bronzer
Our skin tends to be a touch dull in hue throughout the winter. I use this bronzer along my jaw line, beneath my cheekbones, and at my hairline to make my face look more vibrant. It also aids in the contouring and definition of my face.
Beauty Blender
Any beauty bag would be incomplete without this tiny baby. To prevent the sponge from absorbing all of your makeup, first slightly moisten it. Additionally, a moist sponge facilitates the smooth blending of any product. I use this to mix my concealer and then dab at any foundation smudges that might have formed in the folds. Use baby soap or Dawn dish soap to wash.
Lipstick
When your entire cosmetic routine is finished, lipstick is the icing on the cake. It completes everything and adds gloss to your appearance. The variety of colors and sheens available in this lipstick line is why I adore it. Pearlized, sheer, matte, etc. Angel, Snob, and Hot Gossip are some of my favorite colors for daily wear.
