Transitioning your summer clothes into October might be difficult when the temperatures are still in the 90s. I like to begin the fall wardrobe transition by shifting away from bright summer hues and toward more muted fall tones. Olive is one of my favorite colors this season. It works nicely with a wide range of colors since it acts as a neutral. I also have this super cozy olive romper that can be worn casually or dressed up with a wedge and jewelry.
This seasons hot fall colors are : olive, burgundy, poppy, yellow, lilac, orange and shades of blue and khaki.
The second way I enjoy converting my summer wardrobe into fall is by carrying straw totes. This maintains the look light and playful throughout September. When fall arrives, replace the straw bag with a good leather bag. I prefer cognac or black purses because they are basic neutrals. Bucket bags are popular right now, and I’m considering purchasing this one.
Long, layered necklaces are a popular accessory style this season. I found a double-layered gold disk necklace on clearance. It was a fantastic piece that would go with so many outfits throughout season.
SLIGHT REMIX & ERASING THE BCG (Butt Crack Gap)
If distressed denim isn’t your thing then I HIGHLY recommend these high waisted button front jeans. They fit like a glove and I want them in every wash. Me and jeans have a love hate relationship. I have a small waist and bigger booty and thighs so I often have a gap at the waist. These jeans came up a little higher on the waistline therefor erasing the dreaded butt crack gap or BCG.
If you’re anything like me, a few too many summer nights spent eating pizza and Mexican food with friends has resulted in two new friendships. Handles that you adore. The side bulge sneaks up on you, but these jeans do an excellent job slimming the sides and keeping everything smooth.
These were the first jeans to sell out during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I have a feeling they will be a huge hit through fall and winter.
