At-Home Blowout Must-Haves: What I Use for Smooth, Bouncy Hair

21

On my Instagram Stories, I shared my hair in its natural form with you all. You guys immediately began inquiring about how I perform a blowout at home. Let me tell you about my hair type before I reveal all the secrets. My hair is wavy, curling, and coarse. I apply a deep conditioner to my dry hair two or three times a week. My absolute fave is this deep conditioner. It nourishes, softens, and smoothes my coarse hair.

Here is a photo of my gorgeous hair if you need a little more amusement. Since it’s from an Instagram story, the image’s quality is comparable to that of my hair. Terrible!

Hair Oil

These hair oils are amazing. I rub my hair from the middle to the ends after applying two to three pumps to the palm of my hand. Instead of using a silicon anti-frizz serum, which will eventually dry down your hair, oils are a better natural moisturizer. I’ve been using the goods listed below for years and always use them. FYI: Choose the “light” label if you have blonde hair and are using Moroccan Oil serum. Your hair will become brassy if you use the original serum.

Blow Dryer

Make sure the blow dryer blows a lot of air without getting too hot if you want to get one that won’t fry your hair for an at-home blowout. These blow dryers are fantastic, and I own both of them.

Splurge- T3

featuring a Volume Booster switch, several heat/speed settings, and an Auto Pause Sensor that automatically stops airflow. The dryer turns off when you put it down and on again when you pick it up!

Save- Babyliss

My top pick. This baby will dry your hair in no time! The negative ions generated by the dryer will remove any static electricity in the hair and close the cuticle for smooth, shiny results.

Round Brush

I’ve been using these round brushes ever since my hairdresser recommended them to me. Because it firmly grasps my hair’s roots and straightens out my curly hair, I prefer the round brush.

Paddle Brush

I use the paddle brush on the back and underside of my hair to save time. When blow drying, I can work through my hair more quickly and it captures more hair than the round brush. It is also an excellent all-around brush.

Curling Iron

For years, I personally used and cherished the Hot Tools curling iron. I’d strongly suggest it. I have been using the curling iron that T3 supplied me last year. The coated barrel and its rapid heating are features I enjoy. The T3 is a good investment if you’re willing to spend more money. Hot Tools is a great option if you want a high-quality curling iron without going over budget.

Hair Spray

I’m not into fancy hair sprays. I use a lot of hairspray! The heat and humidity in Houston will kill any hair do in seconds! I typically use the L’oreal El Net spray first and then comb through my hair with my fingers. Then I will add a second layer with the Treseme Level 4 hairspray.
