It’s time to embrace my inner Rory Gilmore by wearing lots of turtlenecks and warm sweaters since it’s fall fashion season. Keeping up with current fall trends, such as boho chic and demure fashion, is a lot of fun if you’re anything like me. However, when it comes to accessories, I prefer to be flexible and stick to tried-and-true basics for the fall capsule wardrobe, occasionally adding some current pieces. Here is my want list for fall accessories, which includes items from some of my favorite stores like Nordstrom, Shopbop, and Zara, in case you were wondering.

1. Marc Jacobs The Mini Lil’ Link Zebra Bag
Being a neutral lover myself, I’ve been rather interested in the animal print trend that’s flourishing for autumn, but wearing animal print is a another matter. I love this stylish Marc Jacobs bag because of this. It gives me the chance to indulge in a fresh, trendy look that is subtle enough to not overshadow my entire appearance or become outdated after a year or two. The small bag has a slight edge and roughness because it is made of real calf hair and has the designer’s distinctive hardware on the handle. And simply wait till you get a glimpse of the interior’s crimson leather.

2. 8 Other Reasons Thin Belted Rancher
Wear this wide-brimmed hat from Anthropologie to stay on top of fall fashion trends. With its traditional cowboy elements and chestnut faux-suede finish, the rancher-meets-modern style may be worn with a variety of outfits, from a long winter coat and denim set for inclement weather to a wedding guest dress for your sister’s Colorado wedding. Additionally, the thin hat band is a great touch.

3. Tasha 2-Pack Double Arch Cuff Ponytail Holders
The typical ponytail holder is so outdated in 2024. These cuff ponytail holders are taking over the hair game everywhere I look, and I think they’re a very adorable and original way to dress up your hair, turning an ordinary ponytail from boring to stylish. The best part is that you can mix and match the metals because this Tasha set comes with two holders: one with silver hardware and the other with gold-finished hardware.

4. Miu Miu Regard Sunglasses
Despite their high cost, I am eager to purchase these Miu Miu sunglasses. Because of its ageless tortoise frame and iconic oval shape, I will consider it an investment piece. The lenses have a UV coating, and the slender arms exude a natural sophistication. In other words, they serve a practical purpose in addition to being stylish.

5. Calzedonia 50 Denier Total Comfort Soft Touch Tights
For some months now, I’ve been determined to wear colored tights in the fall, so I’m eager to get my hands on these Calzedonia soft touch tights. The soft-touch microfiber used to make the opaque 50 denier tights is intended to provide comfort. “These are the most comfortable, silky soft, and best-fitting tights I’ve ever worn,” one reviewer writes. The value for the money is astounding.

6. Gap Vegan Suede Slouchy Tote Bag
I now see why people on Instagram and TikTok are obsessed with this oversized tote bag. To be honest, I was shocked to see that it costs $70 and is made entirely of polyester, which means it won’t deteriorate or get stained like real suede would. At first impression, I believed it was designer. With its roomy dimensions of 15″ x 4″ x 17″, it’s an excellent work or errand bag that can accommodate your laptop, chargers, snacks, and other items.

7. Madewell Studded Western Belt
Even though I’ve been smitten with the Khaite Benny Belt since it came out, I can’t defend the high price. Then, for a lot less money, I discover this studded beauty that resembles the designer jewelry. It’s the ideal addition to a simple outfit. Did I also mention that real leather is used in its construction?

8. Jenny Bird Sées Ring
As a minimalist who rarely wears jewelry, I’ve been trying to add more rings to my collection that make a refined statement and this piece from Jenny Bird—which is comprised of gold ion plated steel—is calling my name. It’s fluid and organic in nature, and I especially love that it’s designed to capture the elongated profile of the egret bird, giving a whole new meaning to a basic chunky design. Best of all, it still feels like it complements my capsule wardrobe.

9. J.Crew Sheer Rolled-Edge Trouser Socks
Although Sabrina Carpenter is a major influence, wearing socks with heels is one of the fall trends that I’m most excited about because it allows me to wear heels more often throughout the cooler months without feeling like my feet are falling off. Since J. Crew’s sheer socks are composed of the same materials as your go-to tights—nylon and spandex—they’re particularly excellent for dressier events. Additionally, the edges curl around the ankles due to a rolled cuff.

10. Coach Outlet Silver Swagger Chain with Charms
Coach has some of the greatest selection of bag charms that I have yet to use to adorn my purses. For example, this silver chain has the sweetest charms, such a flower, a rainbow, and the Coach C emblem.

11. Hat Attack Chic Solid Scarf
This fluffy scarf is the epitome of pumpkin spice lattes and the change of the seasons. It features a fringe edging for texture and a thick, brushed felt fabric that will feel cozy and comfortable when wrapped over your neck. It is available in a variety of colors, including neutrals, but this red is a playful way to add some color to your ensemble.

12. Heaven Mayhem Julia Necklace
It naturally made it onto my want list for fall accessories as I’ve witnessed a rise in stone jewelry, especially statement pieces like this one from Heaven Mayhem set on a waxed ribbon. Wearing a fitted jacket or anything with a deep V-neckline will highlight the remarkable contrast between the black cord and the red agate stone. Additionally, it features a bolo bead fastening that is adjustable in length.

13. Mango Cashmere Knitted Socks
I suspect that I will spend the entire season wearing these cashmere socks. They are quite adorable, warm, and comfortable. Although they come in four different colorways—including a deep burgundy and pistachio green—I prefer this basic gray. I’m excited to pair them with kitten heels and under Chelsea boots.

14. Zara Maxi Resin Bracelet
Cuff bracelets are another accessory trend I’m keeping an eye on. Even though there are several versions available, this resin beauty is the best. It feels like a novel twist on a bracelet that isn’t a delicate chain or a loud bangle. It wraps around the wrist. Try wearing it over a blouse or long-sleeved shirt for a more distinctive look that will stand out.
