Introducing my first-ever Styled For The Season holiday home tour, which showcases our recently remodeled house and our Christmas décor! Greetings if you are here from Jennifer’s Decor Gold Designs page! I adore Jennifer’s attention to detail and consider her a dear neighbor. When my tour is over, I’ll move you on to the next location so you can see each residence. I can’t wait for you to see their vacation homes; these women are all very skilled, good friends.

Christmas Home Decor:
I had to hurry to put our house back together and hang the Christmas decorations because we just completed renovating it two weeks ago (see out how it looked before). I looked to Pinterest and my favorite house bloggers for ideas. Our house used to be incredibly dark. I realized I needed to revamp my twelve-year-old Christmas home décor with our new color scheme! Since I adore the classic Christmas colors, I kept small bursts of red in my décor throughout our now-neutral home.
We started with our living room, where we used a classic color scheme of red, gold, and silver for our tree. Collecting glass Santa Claus ornaments is one of my favorite customs. I’ve collected them on our trips throughout the years, or I’ve received ornaments as gifts from friends, family, and students. Each of them has a unique memory. Additionally, I get an ornamental picture frame with the year on it and place a Christmas photo of the children inside. I love sipping my coffee in the morning while admiring our tree’s many sentimental ornaments.

This year I did my ribbon cascading down the tree but last year I was strapped for time and used this easy Christmas tree bow tutorial.

I utilize clear command hooks as a method to keep my garland on the mantle. With the hook’s opening facing the wall, I place them flat on top of the mantel. To keep the garland in place, I wrap florist wire around it and then around the hook. Command hooks are fantastic since they can be removed without causing any damage by just pulling the small tab. I also hang our stockings from these hooks.
This Moroccan pillow cover is one of my favorites. It is so fun and adds great texture to the grey linen chair.

We still need to give our fireplace a little makeover. It has a little beige tint and is made of cement. To create a whitewash look, I intend to use Romabio limewash paint. It works well on brick and doesn’t require priming!

Let’s move from the dining room to the main entrance. This region was given a significant facelift. There was no personality in our lengthy entry hall. We installed shiplap in the two niches to help divide the hallway’s length. To make this wall a true focal point in our house, we added three enormous frames with black and white family photos. I hung the photos using the command velcro strips so as not to harm the shiplap.

Finally, we will visit the chamber that has undergone the most transformation—THE KITCHEN! In the past, it had dark brown granite, a dark brown backsplash, and dark brown cabinets with orange tiling. There was no coordination among the components. Additionally, because our house faces both north and south, it receives very little natural light. It felt like a cave because the kitchen is long and tight and everything is dark brown. View our kitchen’s prior appearance HERE. I prefer to have a modest Christmas home décor over the holidays. I prefer it to feel clean and open because we entertain all the time and make a lot of snacks.

I hope the tour of the Christmas house was enjoyable to everyone. The next stop on the tour will be my friend Randi’s stunning blog, Randi Garrett Design.
