5-Minute Face: Your Go-To Everyday Makeup Routine

8

I’m going to show you my five-minute face today. I have a five-minute daily makeup process since I either A. want to sleep in later, B. have to hurry myself or the kids out the door for school or meetings, or C. I’m not a YouTube makeup artist by trade. I’m simply a regular woman with a dishwasher to empty and a carpool.

Quick Everyday Makeup:

Skin Care

I used to spend a lot of time applying cosmetics and very little time taking care of my skin. My skin began to resent me, and I understood that before I could paint it, I needed a fantastic base! Before putting on my moisturizer at night, I use this glycolic serum. Unlike any other product I’ve ever tried, it has transformed my skin. The texture and tone of my skin have improved, and I no longer have any redness from inflammation. Because Drunk Elephant products are chemical-free and clean, I’ve been utilizing them more lately.

Self Tanner

In my opinion, these self-tanning drops are revolutionary. The hue is ideal, and I put three drops to my moisturizer at night, one or two times a week. With the exception of the usual orange tint, it appears as though you have been in the sun. You can mix these drops with your usual body lotion and apply them to the remainder of your body. Purchase TWO BOTTLES if you can locate them in stock because they sell out quickly!

CC Cream + Foundation Brush

This cc cream is my ride or die. I have used iT Cosmetics CC cream ever since it first came out on the market. I use one pump and dot it all over my face. Then I use the most amazing foundation brush to blend. This brush has anitmicrobial bristles so keep bacteria away. Bacteria causes breakouts and that’s obviously a huge yuck in everyone’s book.

Mascara Primer + Mascara

This mascara primer is the one drugstore item I absolutely cannot live without. You may acquire it in the grocery store or Target. I apply my new favorite mascara after coating my lashes and letting them sit for around 30 seconds. I vowed to stick with my go-to mascara until I discovered this one. The formula and brush aid in adding volume and length.

Concealer + Brightening Powder + Double Sided Powder Brush

This concealer is your new best friend if you have dark circles under your eyes. It provides incredible coverage and significant staying power. You don’t need much because a small amount goes a long way. I use the smaller end of this double-sided powder brush to set it after dabbing it on with my ring fingers. I absolutely appreciate this under-eye brightening powder that I recently purchased. In addition to setting my concealer, it helps reflect the light beneath my eyes and lighten those annoying dark circles.

Eye Shadow

The Tartlette Eye Shadow pallet would be my first choice if I could only use one eye shadow pallet. It features a fantastic blend of shimmer and matte hues, as well as a broad spectrum of neutral hues. Instead of using a liner, I prefer to line my lower lash line with the deeper shadows for a softer effect.

Eyeliner

I’m not a pro with liquid liner so I stick to pencil liners. These Urban Decay eyeliners are soft and stay put all day. They come in every color under the rainbow but my favorites are: Demolition (dark brown), Rockstar (deep plum) and Perversion (black).

Setting Powder

I’ve tried many powders and keep coming back to this translucent setting powder. I apply it with the bigger, fluffy end of this brush. The powder is finely milled so it applies smoothly and doesn’t cake up in creases and wrinkles.

Brow Pencil

My eyebrows were microbladded two years ago but have faded in some spots. I fill them in with this Anastasia of Beverly Hills brow wiz pencil. If a section is too dark or you make a mistake, use the spoolie at the opposite end to erase or blend any dark spots.
