10 Best Bachelorette Getaways for an Unforgettable Final Celebration

10

Wedding planning is a demanding task. Considerations abound, including the dress code, the reception you wish to transform into a wedding dinner party, who you invite (and who you don’t), and who you can rely on to deliver a wedding speech that doesn’t devolve into a monologue worthy of Shakespeare. Because of this, spending a weekend or week away with your closest friends and bridal party can be just what you need to unwind before the wedding. I’ve compiled a list of 25 top bachelorette party locations below. When compiling the list, I ensured that each location featured a fantastic food and bar scene, a variety of activities, and enjoyable and cozy lodging for groups of ten or more. Everyone is sure to have a blast, whether they visit traditional destinations like Nashville and Miami or more unusual locations like the Azores Islands, sometimes known as the Hawaii of Europe.

1. Nashville, TN

  • Where to Stay: Graduate by Hilton Nashville (from $175/night), Jefferson Haus (from $867/night, sleeps 12), The Songbird (from $1,202/night, sleeps 12)
  • Things to Do: Hampton Social, Santa’s, Wildwood Marina

No matter how many times I go to Nashville, I will always enjoy it. “Let’s just say it’s a go-to for a reason,” says Stephanie Maida, Senior Commerce Editor , who organized a bachelorette weekend for her best friend the last time she was there. The Hampton Social’s dinner was delicious; the atmosphere is ideal for a bachelorette celebration, and they have enormous fishbowl cocktails that you can split with a group. We had morning coffee and pastries (as well as a photo session) at the Graduate Hotel, which has the hippest lobby with lots of art. After that, we headed to Broadway for mechanical bull rides and bar hopping.Must one? A visit to Santa’s, the well-known karaoke club with a Christmas motif that is housed in a double-wide trailer. Ed Sheeran and other well-known Nashville locals have been known to stop by for spontaneous concerts. I also suggest renting a boat at Granville’s Wildwood Marina for a day on the water if you’re prepared to venture a little outside of the city.

2. Palm Springs, CA

  • Where to Stay: The Saguaro (from $154/night), Eichler Palms (from $892/night, sleeps 10), The Glam Palms (from $790/night, sleeps 10)
  • Things to Do: Joshua Tree National Park, Norma’s at The Parker, Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

One of the greatest places for a bachelorette party if you live in Los Angeles is Palm Springs, which is a traditional (and short) vacation spot. Traveling from out of state by plane? Although there is a nearby airport, I don’t know anyone who has ever refused a road trip to California if they fly into LAX. I particularly recommend The Saguaro, a retro rainbow motel that, depending on the season, is only $50/person/night, however there are many of lovely rental homes in the city’s attractive Mid Century Modern style. With palm trees interspersing each photo, it’s a charming (but enjoyable) spot to hang out by the pool, have cocktails, and snap as many photos as you like with your girlfriends. Since wedding preparations are undoubtedly stressful, I would recommend at-home massages for the entire team if you are renting a home.

When you’re ready to go out, you should have brunch at Norma’s at The Parker. There, you’re just as likely to find a nutritious start, such poached eggs and grapefruit, as you are a rich feast of pancakes, waffles, and french toast. Next, take a visit of Joshua Tree National Park, which is only an hour’s drive away, to get your heart rate up. (Note: This is a fantastic idea in the fall, winter, and spring, but I do not advise doing it in the middle of summer—in that case, it is preferable to leave early in the morning.)The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway provides breathtaking views of the expansive cliffs of Chino Canyon from the comfort of a gondola, perfect for those who, like me, detest heat and perspiration. Before returning to town to celebrate the bride with bottle service at Toucan’s Tiki Lounge, you might want to think about having an early dinner at the Peaks Restaurant at the top of the mountain. Stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race perform a fun show at this vibrant drag bar every Friday through Sunday.

3. Austin, TX

  • Where to Stay: Austin Proper Hotel (from $365/night), Treaty Oak Manor (from $1,141/night, sleeps 16+), SoCo Cowgirl (from $681/night, sleeps 16+)
  • Things to Do: live music at Mohawk, Stubs BBQ “Gospel Brunch,” Half Step cocktails

Given its reputation as the world’s live music capital, Austin is among the top bachelorette party locations for music lovers. Check out Stubs BBQ for an all-you-can-eat “Gospel Brunch” including live acts and Southern comforts, and Mohawk and Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park for wild live sets if you and your bridal party want to get down to some amazing music.. From a private supper club in the 1950s to a world-renowned venue that features everything from roots, rockabilly, country, swing, rock, and blues seven days a week, the Continental Club is a South Congress (SOCO) neighborhood institution.

No celebration would be complete without delectable food and drinks, and luckily for your bachelorette party gathering, this city has some of the best eateries, including Michelin-starred restaurants and James Beard winners. Notable eateries include Michelin-starred Interstellar BBQ, Franklin BBQ (chef Aaron Franklin is a James Beard award winner, although the wait is considerable and customers line as early as 5 a.m.), and Terry Black’s (excellent sides—go for mac ‘n cheese and creamed corn).

Eat at Tiny Grocer (excellent sandwiches), Maie Day (a chop house perfect for a celebration supper), and Sips & Sweets Cafe South Congress (SOCO), a walkable district with many of lodging options, eateries, coffee shops, etc., to take a breather from the BBQ. Magnolia Café for amazing queso, Sips & Sweets Cafe for a morning boost, and Maie Day (chop house).

When it comes to nightlife, Rainey Street and Dirty Sixth Street offer a vibrant bar scene. Get together with your closest friends for a toast at Half Step, which features live music and craft cocktails, or visit Lustre Pearl, which is housed in a bungalow from the 1930s and has a food truck that serves pizza in the Detroit style. Do you prefer beer? Your place is to stay put.

4. Beach Haven, NJ

  • Where to Stay: Windward at the Beach (from $360/night), Bayside Beauty (from $301/night, sleeps 12), Sea Haven (from $903/night, sleeps 10)
  • Things to Do: Tucker’s Tavern, Bird and Betty’s, spend all day at the beach

According to Executive Managing Editor Catrina Yohay, “Beach Haven, Long Beach Island is such a great spot if you’re looking for a low-key summer bachelorette destination.” “With countless sandy beaches and fantastic local eateries and pubs like Tucker’s Tavern and Black Whale, it’s far more undiscovered than areas like the Hamptons or Miami (meaning lodging won’t cost you an arm and a leg), but just as much fun. You could relax by the pool at your rental, which is only a short stroll from the beach, or spend the afternoon drinking at Bird and Betty’s, where Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley famously got married, as Taylor Swift fans are aware.

5. Charlotte, NC

  • Where to Stay: Embassy Suites (from $234/night), NoDa Home (from $508/night, sleeps 12), Commonwealth House (from $419/night, sleeps 12)
  • Things to Do: Trolley Pub, STIR, DivaDance

We spent a long weekend in Charlotte celebrating my friend’s bachelorette, and it was a lot of fun,” Yohay says. I wasn’t sure what to anticipate because it was my first time there, but the city is shockingly young and has a ton of amazing dining options and a vibrant nightlife. This includes a few of outdoor bars that we visited via the Trolley Pub, which is a fantastic way to spend a day. Make a reservation at STIR, which serves handmade cocktails and $1.50 oysters, for a classy supper.and then choose from a variety of nearby pubs and breweries to visit next—all within walking distance. The Cellar, a speakeasy that serves traditional cocktails, is one such hangout. Schedule a dancing lesson at DivaDance for the ideal girls’ group bonding experience, then use the choreography for your wedding reception flash mob.

6. Charleston, SC

  • Where to Stay: Planter’s Inn (from $399/night), Historic Charleston Home (from $833/night, sleeps 14), The Monroe (from $868/night, sleeps 16+)
  • Things to Do: Rainbow Row, Charleston City Market, Republic

Charleston seemed to be the ideal location for bachelorette parties and vacations while I lived in the South (Alabama, specifically). I knew why after just one glance. The culture of this quaint pastel village is as lively as its old homes. Speaking of which, you should arrange for the group to snap pictures at the well-known Rainbow Row. After that, go shopping on King Street. Three pieces are present:Upper King (restaurants, pubs, and design stores), Middle King (clothing boutiques and national brands), and Lower King (antique shops). The Charleston City Market, which is open both day and night, is another entertaining location. It is packed with local stores selling anything from sweetgrass baskets, paintings, soaps, crafts, and a tasty Southern biscuit.

A beach picnic and a stroll along the waterfront and historic districts are always in style when you’re in a coastal town. March through May or September through November are the ideal times to go because of the milder weather. (A swampy summer is manageable, but expect to perspire.)

Republic is the best bachelorette party bar in town for a crazy night out, replete with comfort cuisine, sharing platters, and live music. Please take note that there is a dress code, so arrive well dressed and prepared to celebrate the soon-to-be bride.

7. Savannah, GA

  • Where to Stay: The Drayton Hotel (from $169/night), Forsyth Park Historic Home (from $476/night, sleeps 10), Jewel on Jones (from $1,061/night, sleeps 13)
  • Things to Do: Savannah River boat cruise, Brochu’s Family Tradition, Savannah City Market

Savannah, oh Savannah. In my opinion, the only place that can match this charming Southern town’s quaintness and charm is Charleston. A city rich in history, with cobblestone squares and old buildings, it is teeming with Spanish moths. I can’t think of many places that could top this Southern belle when it comes to the most gorgeous bachelorette locations.

The ideal itinerary appears to be something like this. With the assistance of the Cocktail Boys, toast the bride to begin the celebrations after checking into your hotel or rental home (there are plenty of lovely ones available). In addition to serving as your amateur photographers, butlers, snack fetchers, and party game organizers, these Southern guys will throw an amazing welcome party and pour limitless beverages. Eat fried chicken and seafood dishes at Brochu’s Family Tradition the next morning to help you recover from your hangover.

Taking an old-fashioned trolley is a terrific way to view the city, but make sure to allow enough time to visit the Savannah City Market. It boasts a thriving art market with local artists showcasing everything from handcrafted glass and ceramics to baskets made from sweetgrass, in addition to a wide variety of eateries and pubs. I would recommend a sunset river cruise, a luscious dessert at Leopold’s, and beverages at The Thompson Hotel’s rooftop bar to round off your weekend of celebrations.

8. New York, NY

  • Where to Stay: The Marlton Hotel (from $389/night), Gordy’s Place (from $1,367/night, sleeps 16+), Central Park Townhouse (from $2,383/night, sleeps 13)
  • Things to Do: Somewhere Nowhere, Champers Social Club, Frick Madison

I can state with confidence that New York knows how to party at any time of day since I live here. Therefore, there’s no better place to celebrate your upcoming marriage than the city that never sleeps. I suggest Somewhere Nowhere in Chelsea, which offers breathtaking aerial views of Manhattan, if you want to go dancing. On Wednesdays, the facility turns into a speakeasy for individuals who like social dancing, complete with live music and a lively audience performing their finest Charleston and lindy hop moves.

Although Balthazar is a staple for any meal, brunch is particularly enjoyable on weekdays when it’s less packed. Champers Social Club is the place to be when happy hour arrives, and it’s right around the block. It offers a sophisticated dinner menu with dishes like duck confit and lobster risotto, as well as a large champagne menu that is available all day. Consider getting the champagne tower if you’re commemorating a significant life event. A picnic in Central Park, a visit to the recently reopened Frick Madison, and takeout pizza from Williamsburg’s iconic L’Industrie will round out your celebration. (Best enjoyed with a view of the skyline at Domino Park.)

9. Disney World, FL

  • Where to Stay: Waldorf Astoria Orlando (from $356/night), Casa Lita (from $186/night, sleeps 14), Kissimmee Lakefront Oasis (from $258/night, sleeps 12)
  • Things to Do: park hop between the six parks

Although I am aware that Disney World is not a city, I consider it to be one because it is a special taxing district that gives the park authority over the surrounding territory. Fans of Disney would concur. I will always be devoted to Disneyland because I’m from California, but many people I know rave about its much bigger sister park. I can’t think of a finer bachelorette party location if your bridal team is infatuated with the happiest spot on earth. The Magic Kingdom is a must-see, of course, but don’t miss the other attractions that make its Florida outpost so special. Despite Epcot’s famous status, fans of Disney movies and animation will want to schedule time to visit the Hollywood Studios, which offers entertaining themed areas and unique programs.

10. Sedona, AZ

  • Where to Stay: Enchantment Resort (from $570/night), Uptown Sedona Home (from $801/night, sleeps 11), Cliffside Retreat (from $504/night, sleeps 12)
  • Things to Do: visit energy vortex near Mii Amo Resort, hike Cathedral Rock and Devil’s Bridge

I recently visited Sedona, and I have to say that it would be a fantastic location for a celebration weekend get-together with friends. Reserve a room at the Mii Amo Resort, which is situated in one of the town’s well-known energy vortices, if you’re feeling upscale. In addition to enjoying meals at any of the four on-site restaurants, you may pass the time there at the spa or by the pool. Otherwise, renting a house here is a great option. The magnificent red rocks around the valley where everything is nestled. Sedona is therefore the ideal location for unplugging and spending time with your close friends and wedding party.

There are several hikes that are appropriate for hikers of all skill levels if you really wish to venture outside and explore. Cathedral Rock is worth the climb up a steep, sandy rock face for the adventurous. With a few steep stairs at the last bend, the well-traveled Devil’s Bridge trail is otherwise quite moderate. In all honesty, there are plenty of pull-outs along the road where you can park and snap pictures of the rock formations without having to hike. Eat traditional breakfast dishes and Southwest delicacies at Coffee Pot Restaurant before you go.

Spend a day at Tlaquepaque, a recreation of a classic Mexican village, for a less demanding activity. Local crafts, art galleries, and events like tequila Thursdays and flamenco in the courtyard can be found here.
